If you’re operating in a mild or hot climate and are covering distance rapidly, these boots are capable of rivaling top of the line brands and are hard to beat, plus they look great and are available in four different color schemes. If you work in sub-zero conditions, these boots are a hard pass as they will not protect you from harsh temperature lows and/or snow. They are built for people moving quickly and thus have an emphasis on ventilation instead of insulation. These boots are by no means insulated or waterproof. These are primarily constructed of military-grade Cordura nylon and are completely synthetic, meaning they require a very little break-in period and right out of the box they fit nicely and offer a lot of ankle movement, which is good for running on uneven surfaces, climbing things, etc. Oakley makes a lot of stuff that I sometimes chuckle at, but these boots are certainly no joke and are certainly worth a look. These boots are not the toughest, the most durable, or the most insulated but they are some of the lightest and most nimble tactical boots on the market today. Here is the best video review I could find on these boots: Removable shock-absorbent shoe pad included being used with their already fantastic molded EVA midsole.YKK heavy duty side zipper with velcro close off strap.Polished full-grain leather that is naturally waterproof and a moisture-wicking lining. While these wouldn’t be as durable or last as long as some of the other boots on this list, they are some of the best tactical boots for the money. They’re constructed of full-grain leather which allows them to naturally repel water and they include a moisture-wicking lining to help dry out your sweaty feet!Īs a bonus, Maelstrom donates $1 to the Boot Campaign, which is a non-profit charity tasked with aiding injured veterans and helping military families cope with their service members long oversea’s stays. These particular boots are available in black or tan with a very neutral tactical style. My Review: Maelstrom has long been designing quality boots in the low priced area and to be honest, they always seem to impress, despite such ridiculously low prices.
